NEW-GROWTH

An Habotai Silk scarf that we dyed individually, then with our temporary silk-screens we printed the patterns, elaborately mixing the right colours with eco-friendly inks for each scarf. The combination of prints has a story to tell, using elements from fine art and other images that I found and used as collages. The colours and the prints are unique, every scarf is a wearable artwork with a different story. The carefully developed deep and complex colours will fit almost any outfit with their wide colour-range.

It measures 148 cm x 24 cm. (58″ x 9.5″)

The symbols on this scarf shows the development of new ideas and together with the colours it reminds me of the new-growth of the forest after a bushfire. The light green in a burnt landscape stands out as a new mighty start, showing that with smart ideas and endurance, no trouble with let you down, and that you will overcome anything that comes to your way with freshness and ease.
